1.3 mile course - counterclockwise.  Come join use for a nice 75-90 degree day at the track!  Lets get our bikes out of the garage!

Trips and Tours

Upcoming trips and tours organized for members by members.  These trips are organized by the Trip Planning Committee.  Participants pay their own costs (e.g., gasoline, hotels, food, etc.) and everybody shares equally on any shared costs (e.g., chase vehicle and driver, etc.) agreed by the group.

 BRAZIL - The East Coast    November, 2010    

This will be our first foray into Brazil.  Details for this 8-day trip are being worked out. Stay tuned. 

The fee will include motorcycle rentals, gasoline, hotels, and all meals while we are there.

Members:  $3,500    Non-Members:  $4,000

GUATEMALA - The Highlands    July 14 - 18, 2010

This will be an amazing trip to the best that Guatemala has to offer - volcanoes, lakes, colonial cities, etc.  We will fly from Dallas to Guatemala on Wednesday, July 14, spend the night in Guatemala City, pick up our BMW and Yamaha bikes on Thursday and head for the mountains for 3 amazing days or riding.  We will be joined by other riders from Guatemala that know were to go and what to do.

Arkansas Weekend    May 28 - 30, 2010      *  *  *  COMPLETED  *  *  *

This is a weekend trip leaving Motopia on Friday morning.  We will stay in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and make this our touring center for the weekend.  Check out our Members Forum for more details on lodging, routes, preparation, who is going, etc.

Texas Hill Country Weekend    Mar 5 - 7, 2010    *  *  *  COMPLETED  *  *  *

This is a weekend trip leaving Motopia on Friday morning.  We will make Kerrville our touring center. On Saturday we will make a couple of long loops on the best roads the Hill Country has to offer.  On Sunday we will do a small loop and head back to Dallas.

Baja 1000 Trip    Jan 26 - Jan 31, 2010   *  *  *  COMPLETED  *  *  *

A one-week trip to explore the famous Baja 1000 route.  We will ride all 1,000 miles from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas.

The highlight of this trip is that we will be there right in the middle of whale season.  On of the days, we will be crossing the bikes on fishermen's boats to Isla Magdalena - an uninhabited island on the Pacific Side - ride about 50 km on the beach during low tide (the only way to ride there) to the fishermen's camp where we will be able to maybe swim with the whales!

3Q09 Weekend Club Ride - Arkansas    Oct 2-4 2009    *   *   *   COMPLETED   *   *   *

A 3-day trip from Dallas to the best roads in Arkansas.  This time we will make Fayetteville our touring center.

2009 Annual Excursion - Iceland      Aug 21 - 30, 2009     *  *  *  COMPLETED  *  *  *

A weeklong dual-sport trip exploring this amazing island.  We will ride BMW F650GS. Total cost is $3,400 plus airfare. This includes bike rental, gasoline, hotels, and meals.

Mexican West Coast, Mexico      Jan 26 - Feb 3, 2009   * * * * COMPLETED  * * *

A 7-day trip from Dallas to Mexico City and then over the mountains to the Pacific. Dallas, San Antonio, Laredo, Monterrey, Saltillo, Real de XIV, San Luis Potosi, Mexico City, Valle de Bravo, Ixtapa, Manzanillo, Colima, Guadalajara, Zacatecas, Laredo, Dallas.

Copper Canyon, Mexico      October 4-11, 2008  * * * * COMPLETED  * * *
 
An 8-day trip from Dallas to the border at Presidio and on to Chihuahua, Mexico's biggest State and home to Copper Canyon.  Copper Canyon is four times larger than the grand canyon and is also home to the Tarahumara Indians.  This is a great trip for dual sport bikes as we will not only do great twisties on paved roads in the Sierra Madre Mountains but also venture to the bottom of the canyon on dirt switchbacks with breathtaking views.
